As a Non Governmental Organization with a vision of improved and sustainable livelihoods for the smallholder households,A2N-Uganda is dedicated to contributing to the eradication of extreme poverty and hunger in Uganda by working towards its mission and objectives A2N-Uganda has been operating since 1990 by working with smallholder farmers and implements a number of on-going projects through donor support and collaboration with partner organizations.

SPECIAL EVENTS

  • Tororo: Farmers regional conference on striga control, Kisumu, Western Kenya. The aim of the conference was for farmers in Uganda and Kenya to share experiences, lessons and challenges in Striga Control. This was attended by politicians, scientists, farmers, extension staff, donors, private sector and Policy makers. A follow up conference is planned to take place in the last week of January 2009.

  • Tororo: National World Food Day Celebrations

    Theme: Food, Energy and Highlights: This involved exhibitions and demonstrations whereby A2N-Uganda exhibited on Soil Fertility Management (SFM), Soil and Water Conservation(SWC), Livestock and Crop husbandry and merged 2nd best in the demonstration and exhibition category out of over 70 entries.
