Special Projects

Projects of a special nature - carried on outside the project areas of A2N-Uganda on request by development partners. These may be one-time interventions or pilots to usher in larger projects of a collaborative nature.

Provision of Market Development Services and Management of Community in AAIU-Kumi and Katakwi Districts

In November 2006, Africa 2000 Network-Uganda was contracted by Action Aid International-Uganda (AAIU) to provide marketing development services to beneficiaries of its model Project to end hunger in Kumi and Katakwi program areas.

The proposed intervention is aimed at facilitating the representatives of farmer organizations and community food reserves management committees access skills and knowledge in the management of selected agro-enterprises and also specificially for the management of their community food resreves for enhanced food security and income generation with particular focus to the most vulnerable category of people i.e. women, their children and families living in displacement camps.
